Tuesday Live: Gimbal Stabilizers For Smartphone Videos

When it comes to making videos with your smartphone, you need to get the best out of it as you can. You can adjust white balance, contrast, and resolution but there’s one thing that’s much harder to deal with, and that’s wobble. For instance, the way the image bounces around as you go upstairs or as you walk around. That’s why you need to use a gimbal stabilizer.

In this edition of Tuesday Live, we discuss why planners should have a gimbal, the benefits of using one, and how they can improve your videos – especially when it comes to filming b-roll for events, conferences, and meetings. While you may have an AV team on the job making great-quality recordings, there may be times when you need to do your own. For instance, something unexpected happens or you need to interview someone. Having a gimbal in your planner bag ready to go is a great idea!

In the video, we mention the FeiyuTech Vlog Pocket 2, a reasonably priced gimbal that I’ve been using with great results. Cheap enough to try out yet with enough features that you’ll end up with many improved videos. We also mention the DJI gimbal that was at a bargain price, in the video you’ll discover why!
