Site Inspection Notes – Turtle Bay Resort Hawaii

Again with the March of 07… We ended up doing a great program here in October of 09……

So here I am the other night watching Wheel of Fortune…….no I am not a “wheel watcher”, but my 18th month old is. Laughs and claps through the whole program. I am not sure if he is laughing with, or at the contestants!!

A sharply dressed young man spins the wheel and is rewarded with a trip to………Turtle Bay Resort in Hawaii. I thought, man didn’t we do a write up on Turtle Bay for our old newsletter, that would be cool to refresh and put out there again. So here it is, refreshed and updated and not as generic as it was when I wrote our newsletter.

Site Inspection Notes: Turtle Bay Resort

On a visit to Hawaii, the OnSite Events Event Planning team discovered a gem set on the island of Oahu.

Located on the legendary North Shore, Turtle Bay Resort is a place where one can discover true Hawaii. With its unspoiled beaches and lush surroundings, the 371 room, 30 suite and 42 cottage property offers a true resort feel, yet offers a multi-purpose state-of the-art conference Center, complete with wireless technology.

Our experience with the staff and service was outstanding. The sleeping rooms were refreshing (especially with the recent renovations) and the surroundings were awesome. It is a place attendees will love. The drive from the airport is actually beautiful and pleasant, not one of those off the plane and into the traveling misery box (we have all been there, I know you have………in fact I have one destination in mind right now).

Attendees will find an extensive array of activities in the area including awesome golf (two of Hawaii’s finest courses), tennis, horseback riding, spa, historical towns, the Polynesian Cultural Center and of course surf lessons to catch that perfect wave! Granted, the area does not have the nightlife of Waikiki, but for those looking for the true Hawaiian experience, Turtle Bay makes its mark. In fact, this snippet from their website covers it:

Miles of white-sand beaches, ironwood forests, and a tropical countryside await your exploration. The world’s most legendary surf spots, Sunset Beach, the Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay are all just minutes away. Turtle Bay Resort is surrounded by the best Hawaii – and nature – has to offer.

Attendees will love this place, but so will meeting and event planners………..The sales staff at Turtle Bay Resort offers a one-stop-shop approach for planners bringing programs to the island. They truly are helpful to planners (not the other way around which is sometimes the case, as we all know). They really are great to deal with.

I took a look at their website and it seems they have updated it since the last time I went there. Take a look: http://www.turtlebayresort.com/
