Content Marketing Fuel for Events and Conferences

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a huge man-crush on content marketing. I think that good content marketing is the key to growing your event, avoiding stagnation, and keeping current attendees engaged. Just look at TED, or SXSW… they have been kicking ass for years through a combination of planning good events and sharing amazing content.

This SlideShare from Marketo is titled Content Marketing: Fuel for Your Lead Generation Strategy and although it is aimed at the more traditional company/client relationship, it can be adapted to the meeting and event industry by simply changing the words in your head as you read along. Client and customer become attendee or sponsor… etc, etc. You crazy kids are pretty smart so I will leave it at that.

Have a look, it should only take a few minutes to get through… and you might even learn something new. Remember, you don’t have to understand everything here to take away  some really good ideas for your event marketing.
