The Most Awesome Social Media Image Sizing Chart

This infographic needs no explanation, no kind words, no hype. It is simply perfect and something that every conference and event marketer can use because I do not care how many Facebook cover photos you have created or how many Twitter backgrounds, we all forget the proper size 10 minutes after we have posted the image. Just-a-fact.

An big hat tip to  Heather Taylor of eConsultancy for sharing this (she is right, this is too good not to share) and a huge thanks to LunaMetrics for creating this soon-to-be legendary internet marketing masterpiece.  [Read more...]

Social Media for Conferences and Events

A garden center that uses social media can learn a lot from the local dentist that uses social media and the local dentist can learn a lot from a Fortune 500 company that uses the social web. Who and Where – Data About the Social Networks Event Marketers Can Use

I am not usually one to post infographics but I must give a hat tip to 60 Second Marketer for sharing this one because there is a lot of information that event marketers can use when planning their next social media outing.

An Honest Social Media Mistake Can Hurt

Let’s get real. Posting everything the moment that you “discover” it is great in theory but what most event marketers find is that this can actually cause a social media train wreck. I know, I have jumped the rails a couple of times. How you ask? Let me tell you! [Read more...]
