Yesterday, I was tooling around the loop in Chicago. As a resident, it is sometimes fun to go and see the city as the tourists see this magnificent place… this reaffirms why I live here.
Along Michigan Ave, they have planted new trees and put these signs on each one that tell us what each tree is worth in environmental benefits over the next 15 years and it is not a bad figure for one little tree. When combined with all of the other trees, the number is actually quite astronomical.
My question is this… What is your event worth over the next 15 years? And not only in the environmental sense but also the educational, social and more. These are questions that all meeting and conference planners should be thinking about.
Just something to ponder.
