I love it when someone builds something just because it needs building.
Yousef El-Dardiry, Founder of TweetBeam, needed a way for his team to see what was trending across the EventProfs community so he created a tool and hosted it at EventProfs.co .
This new tool allows his team to use what is hot on Twitter to keep tabs on the events industry and react to it in real time. Rather than keep it all to themselves, Yousef thought it would be a good idea to add some features, jazz it up and let it out in the wild for meeting planners and event professionals to use.
From the EventProfs.co site:
Here, I’m sharing my secret weapon to stay up to date on what’s happening in the #eventprofs community. As a professional in the Event Industry, I’m always trying to stay up to date with the best content and creative ideas shared by fellow eventprofs. Unfortunately, with the amount of great content out there, this can be quite overwhelming and time-consuming.
This is why, a couple of months ago, I decided to build a simple tool which presents me and my colleagues the best content for eventprofs at a glance. It surfaces trending content from Twitter with the most favorites and retweets (points). It’s been an invaluable time-saver for us. Best of all, I’m always up to date with the latest event trends!
I like the simplicity and the ability to up-vote something simply by retweeting. Anymore features out of the gate and it might be overwhelming but I would bet that if it takes off, they will be adding more features…
