A New Year, a New home for Meeting Planners

Well, Here we are. 2010……

This is my meeting planner blog’s new home, the new digs, the new space where I will be sharing my ramblings. Over the next few days, I am mulling moving all of my old posts over, updating them and then re-posting them. I think that it will be a great exercise to see what I was thinking a couple of years ago and how it jives with my thoughts now.

I am sure that I will abandon some of them, having a quick second look, some of them were terrible…I mean really awful. Don’t know what I was thinking. There are others though, some I really like, they could just use a new coat of paint and a good washing.

Since I started posting, there have been some wicked things that have hit the industry. We have had an amazingly bad recession, the AIG effect, the failure of some serious industry heavyweights and so on and so on.

There have been some bright spots as well. I was fortunate to become involved with some great new clients, PlannerWire is off and running and I have met and worked with some of the most amazing people (Mitchell, Kristi Casey, Calum, Serenity, Greg, Sean….to name just a few!)…

So— Here is to 2010….may it bring meeting plannersĀ all a little luck, change for the better and maybe, just maybe, a few things to actually believe in…….
