Violating the Facebook Terms of Service Could Hurt Your Meeting or Event

Facebook Fail Hurts Conferences and EventsAre you one of those organizations that violates the Facebook terms of service and if you are violating these rules, are you exposing your fans/followers to risk because you cannot be bothered to do things the right way?

You might be and not even know it.

One of the biggest mistakes made by amateurs on Facebook is the type of page they set up for their meeting, conference or event so now is the time to ask yourself a question.  Did you choose a profile that requires someone to “friend” you or did you choose a “page” that requires someone to like you?

Come to think of it, Twitter has become a place for literate and well-meaning conversation and it is not only a phenomenon, Twitter has become a tool that millions of people use every day to communicate, educate and to spread information among friends and colleagues.  Twitter has also played a role in bringing down governments and sparking a full blown revolution or two.

Great Plugin to Hide Your Conference or Event Site

I am going to write a post on why your conference site should be on the WordPress platform soon, currently it is a draft and I have been writing it for a long time, things just keep popping up that keep me from finishing it.

  • There is a move from one platform to WordPress.
  • You really are having a site issue.

Regardless of the reason, sometimes you just want to keep those prying eyes from your site. That is where this handy little Plugin comes in. [Read more...]
