Future Event Tech – Any Surface as a Touchscreen

I love what is coming down the pike in the event tech arena. There are some fantastic people out there, creating some pretty wild stuff, just blowing us away.

Right now, over at Indiegogo (Kinda like Kickstarter), there is a little project called TouchPico. A touch what?? Mind. Gutter. You need to get out more… TouchPico is a really cool Android PC that has been gene-spliced to a tiny projector that throws an 80″ image up on a wall, a screen, or even the side of your car if you were so inclined. “So what?” you say… “There are plenty of itty bitty projectors out there”. My answer is, yep, there are. The projector is only half of the cool factor.

What makes TouchPico totally off the charts is that it is interactive when you use the infrared stylus… Now your brain is cooking isn’t it… What could you do with a projector that can be interactive? Hmmmm.

Someone at TouchPico, I am guessing that it was the marketing intern, created a video showing a bunch of cool uses from meetings to bedtime.

All of this in a package that is the same size as a Samsung S4 PHONE.

I can imagine using this bad boy to project a presentation, using the SlideShare App, maybe as a quick whiteboard, or having a Google Hangout. Oh, and yes, it does connect to a PC or Mac; you just lose the “any wall as a touch screen” thing.

Check them out (and put up the money for one) over at Indiegogo, and you can be one of the cool kids on the block or in the boardroom.

I gotta throw a hat tip over to CNET for making us aware that this thing even existed. Check out their article if you are one of those that want to see all of the specs and shit… All we need to know is that it works.
