Welcome the weekend people.

The term “weekend” can be a joke for many of us meeting and event planner types. You might be setting up a conference in Columbus, a meeting in LA, or an incentive in Costa Rica but that doesn’t mean that you can’t take a few hours on a Friday afternoon to chill out, throw on some tunes, and take a minute for yourself… really, you can… Unless of course you can’t. Then we totally get it… but you can still have a drink or two.

The Drink

  • What: The “Cosmo-No” – Lonn Coupel-Coward
  • From: Red Rooster Harlem, found in this GQ Article

Ingredients

  • 2 oz. Belvedere Ruby Red Grapefruit
  • 1 oz. Combier
  • Squeeze of 1 lime wedge
  • 2 dashes Creole bitters

Directions

Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain over ice into a chilled martini glass.

From their website –  Red Rooster Harlem

Co-Creators Andrew Chapman and Marcus Samuelsson have long wanted to open a restaurant that would have a positive impact on the neighborhood’s culinary landscape and its community at-large. We want to share the story of Harlem with our guests, and offer a platform to celebrate local artists, musicians and culinary talents. We aim to play a role in the future of Harlem, by hiring our family of staff from within the community; inspiring better eating through neighborhood cooking classes; and buying from local purveyors.

Private events? Oh yes… they do that.

The Pickled Planner

The Pickled Planner is a new weekly feature of PlannerWire that has two things. A drink recipe and something about a unique meeting or event space. Technically, we think that you could write off the drinks but check with your accountant first.
